Daniel: Well here we are arriving Buffalo Trace for a Weller foolproof barrel pick they are dropping the single oak project rye a beautiful morning. Good day to have top down. either doing it you know individually kind of like at the tables and walking around casual style or we can sit here and walk through a b c and and kind of discuss them I mean I don't it's I've done enough picks to like however many however you guys want to do it. I want you to walk me through it. Preferably hold my glass for me too. I got you Lee do you not taste with us? I do but I'm not not necessarily at the same time with you I just kind of do a a little quick sip and spit. So sounds like you wanted to talk it through as you go. Do we have the info for each of these sparrows? like which one is okay, so yeah, that's A, B, C, and D, yeah. I I know people are interested in that. My personal preference is let taste be your guide. We'll find you can find out about afterwards. But the most important thing is what's it taste like? 'Cause not you guys because you all are have have a lot more experience with it. But some people come in and they see a barrel that's three days older than the other one, they're gonna pick the old one. No, no, that so tell you that all of these balls are about six years, one month. I'm not. With the concerns or something, opinions. Yeah. So like sibling. I was just seeing limit sips. Just trying to get something on. What are we liking? So I get more like buffalo trace than I do Weller on C. It's it's like it's a like it's on profile level. I find the modeling and the case count and stuff like that. So I'll say when I talked to Sarah initially, it it was estimated to be between one sixty five and one eighty on average as an accident. I was I was gonna say I was thinking 180, I wouldn't say it, but I was thinking about 190. I don't know what your heart feels like within that very Right. been four dot of phones. less than an hour. man. A is what I'm just getting. Jude, I just said the same thing. A A I'm coming around the. A tastes the most like the weather foolproof that they the standard bottle. It's it it has it and like this tastes like it, which is I think is a good thing. But also it doesn't stand out anyway. It doesn't taste good. It feels like a safe thing. It's a very you want something in our life? Yeah. That's what's speaking. Jared, how do you feel about the I mean I've been really hyper torn on both sides of the spectrum on it. Like when I first hit it, I didn't really care for it at all. as it's aired up. This is when you tell the more like congregate go through all four. I would call it D. I started with off putting with my first nose. See, I love the bees. I had a huge red cracker like vanilla. And that's back in the buttons. I think we're really far into this journey. They're focusing on the other. Don't worry about moving more cross. Like it's gonna hold. Who will buy it just on remote something those? Yeah, you don't want to for me I don't want the same thing everybody else has. Yeah, yeah. Because you can have the same line. Exactly. Where are you guys at? If I had to eliminate two right now, it'd be so that everyone. A as well as bullproof traditional non-profit. B is by far my least favorite. Yeah, B is my least favorite. C is I mean I'm coming around too. C's okay, it's a little flat at first, but when it opens up, I do like that light orange blossom on the back end of the palette. It definitely has the best finish between A, C, and D from what I've had, but I need to go back to D. D my problem with it was at first it had a very astringent like bitterness to it. When I very first took a sip like the nose was fine, but the first sip was just it hit me kind of off. Are you familiar with the seventeen ninety two sweetweed? I have not had it, I'm familiar with it. Very reminiscent of that. Once opens up, it has that soft oak dusty vibe. So it's funny you say that's dusty is a no electrical for like almost like a older floral, but like D is having it? Oak kind of thousands of leather oak. So D is actually my first choice. If there was one of these four that I wanted to D we had you brought over 1920 the other day because that's So that was that was this for sure in elimination for me. Number one is in the. I think I would like to have a B line if you'll do I think we have to see those. I can already speak this one, but I like to think of professional maybe. Well kind of see where I'm from. Have you had any barrel picks that you've tasted over the years as part of this program or anything that have jumped out to you on Ace that you kind of traditionally drink your standard release bubble of trace together? I love I mean literally th the barrel just there was nothing like it. Everybody agreed. First sip through, you'll see what it was. I was one of the few that showed me but it never really got on the Mashville two train. I came in. Somewhere and I tried it and I was like, what the hell did you cut my Like, this is not, it tasted so rich. Yeah, it like I was like, there's no way 10 group points just changed the whole game right here, dude. Like, there's no way that's kind of the difference between Eagle 10 and Eagle 12. That's more than two years. There's something else on there. I I'm not ashamed, but I'm kind of ashamed to admit this. I'm a big fan of Eagle Rarity HL. I my teeth on the And those are the same bash bill and stuff, but when it comes down to it, I love it if an eagle rare sort of pick, but I kinda pass on traditional eagle rare. I really love the unique single bears when you get that dark, deep, cherry note and stuff. So When Eagle Rare 12 came out, I was fully ready to grab one. And I tried it and I was like Eagle. Alright guys, so we put in a twelve pack order with my buddies from Netherlands to get the seven hundreds. Man, I'm telling you, that has been as good, if not better than that. And it's a sweet. I was like, that and the foolproof Sazirect. People can grab.
