Frequently Asked Questions
What whiskeys are included in the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection (BTAC)?
The BTAC lineup typically features Sazerac 18-Year-Old Rye, Eagle Rare 17-Year-Old Bourbon, William Larue Weller Wheated Bourbon, Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye, and George T. Stagg Bourbon, along with occasional limited additions.
How are the age and proof of BTAC whiskeys perceived during a tasting?
Even with high proofs like the William Larue Weller at over 129 proof, extended aging often allows these exceptional whiskeys to drink surprisingly smooth and well under their proof.
What makes wheated bourbons like William Larue Weller unique?
Wheated bourbons substitute wheat for rye in the mash bill, resulting in a sweeter, smoother flavor profile often highlighted by notes of vanilla, caramel, and distinct dark fruit like grape.
Dan, Bob, Calvin, Michael, Ric: Good evening. Welcome back to Bourbon Brass and Beyond. Episode 100. It's a hundred? Holy cow. So what? We're just over one year though, right? Yes. October 15th was our very first so we are literally that's actually pretty cool then. So this works itself out to yeah, almost a week. Almost to a week. So how do we manage that? It it's gone fast. Yeah, it really has. but tonight. Calvin is blessing us with the 2025 BTAC. I gotta get ready to buy it all for this year, right? Like this is just trying to figure out. Yeah, I'm not buying that. Yeah, I don't. Well, and it and it's funny because so Calvin won a raffle. I believe one of the online stores, I believe Shareport was doing a raffle at the time. They're doing one now as of today. Yeah. It's a hundred dollars an entry. I think top prize is the whole Pappy lineup, second prize is the whole BTAC lineup and then there's third, fourth and so on. And beginning of this year it just happened to put in a hundred dollars for those for a good cause. I said, Yeah, put a hundred dollars, didn't think about it. Check my email maybe two weeks later, says, hey, won second place, you won the whole mic issue. People actually win. I thought it was like the running man where you just end up as a Yeah. Yeah, go exactly. I I I I I think I bought more raffle tickets than yeah. Yeah, this is a hundred dollars well spent right here. Yeah. And it's a tax write-off. Damn right. Yeah. Yeah. Wait, that was a hundred dollars for the opportunity to purchase this, right? Okay. I was like, there's no way this man's a hundred dollars for a ticket set of hundred dollars. okay. I was like, man, he walked away with all his bottles for basically. Well no, you did pay a hundred, right? Yeah, you w yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You didn't he didn't have to buy it after that. What? It was a hundred dollars and you got all. So essentially like sixteen, seventeen dollars a bottle. Yeah, that's that's good. That's awesome. Yeah. But so tonight. We drink. Tonight we drink. Episode one hundred. so I think this is the order we're gonna do in. And we're gonna start with the Saz eighteen. We're starting with a rock? Yeah. Well it it's going from the least complex to the most complex. So who wants to read the story? Okay, I'll read the story. I'll pour in. Have my notes saved. So it's funny, I don't hear anyone yelling for a light pour tonight. No, yeah. We got too many to do. I'm a light pour for sure. Very consistent. Thanks, sir. Yes, sir. So the SAS 18 is 18 years and five months. It is 90 proof. Yo. I mean 18 years and five months, that's the Playboy model. Ha ha ha Smells like the Sazrec likes long walks on the beach. A towel, yeah. You got a whole basket of hotels now? That's how bad a poor you are, dude. Yeah. Why don't you take that one? The supplier has to have a nice one. I think it says don't trust my car. So this is the least complex? This is the least complex. That smells real good. it does smell really good. You're wiping your baby's bottom, look at you. Polish it. Mm-hmm. So it says for the Sazrak, the famous Sazer Coffee House was founded in eighteen fifty at thirteen Exchange Alley, New Orleans, Louisiana. Although styled a coffee house, it was in fact a saloon. The Sazer Coffee House soon gained fame as the home of the Sazreck, America's first cocktail. The house would buy straight rye whiskey from Kentucky and ship it New Orleans on float on flat boats, the preferred method of transport. Angewan a mi MED Peshodize for the pronunciation. The credited inventor of the Sazerac would add to the rye whiskey his proprietary Peshod bitters, or saying absent liqueur and a lump of sugar, and so was born the Saz the classic Sazerac cocktail. Family owned Sazerac Company has since become the proud owner of the original Kentucky distillery that supplied that rye whiskey to the Sazerac Coffee House and is, after one hundred and ten year absence, pleased to bring you the Pre pleased to bring you Sazerac eighteen year old rye whiskey. Sazerac eighteen year old street wire whiskey demonstrates a sophistication and style that is second to none. A hearty whiskey with a strong barley, a mellow body s mellow spice and a drier sweetness that dances on the tongue. It is the only eighteen year old whiskey worth the n worth worthy of a Sazerac name. Hmm. Cheers. Cheers everybody. Cheers. Thank you. No problem. Cheers. Cheers. So I think on past episodes I demonstrate I'm a leg man and you know this Sazerac, yeah. Just really sticks to the side of the glass, the viscosities you know tells you the age right right there. I really like the oakiness. Yeah. I mean to me I pick up licorice. Pick up licorice, I get plum, I've got away. Pun's a good call. doesn't have a crazy rye spice to it. No. No, not at all. I guess that's what eighteen years does to a rye though, right? Is that why they're not doing eighteen year ries? But I think that I mean you get the flavor of the rye, but you don't get the pepper of the rye. And that to me makes all the difference. I that's why I like the double oak stuff. Yeah. It's almost like a pepper kiss at the end. Just Yeah, just a just a dash. Just a dash. That's pretty good. And just a tip. That's what she said. So I do like that a lot. That's And I've never had this before, so this is like a treat. I always feel like it's hard for me to pinpoint the sweet notes in a rye. it's easy for me to say maple, butterscot when I when I'm drinking bourbon, but when you get these rye that have this sweetness, I I really have trouble just saying this is what I'm getting, but there's just some very unique sweetness in place of that pepper. Yeah. And that's where I think it goes back to licorice, the plum. Yep. The pleophiles you won't pick up in any of these other bottles. Yeah. So you've been through these. Yes. This was your favorite? This was my favorite when I first tried it. Yes. Holds up second time around? Holds up second time around. I would say not as good as the first time I tried it, but it's still right near the top. That's what they say about cocaine, right? that's only what heard. So you have to have a little bit more the second time. I like that. And again, we yeah, we talked about this all the time. Neither of us necessarily like a rye. We end up drinking a lot of rye's 'cause there's a lot of out there. And they they I think they also end up as a lot of the special releases and everything else in a lot of these. But so it's pretty good. I love the finish down the sides and the back of the mouth, It that's where I'm getting that plum. You know, just on that after aftertaste. It just I'm getting the oak on the tongue. Yeah. it's a nice chew. Some plum, licorice, and then that little pepper kiss at the end. Yeah. Not overwhelming though, man. No. I shouldn't. It doesn't have that bite like a lot of these do. Very nice. I'm gonna grab waters. Probably deserved a rinse on this one. Yeah that's pretty good. No, it's really weird. That's the only one that's got. No, it's not. The back of the label is just different on that one. Here's a story. you know what it is? It's both the sazzeracs are that way. So these ones are all CR search. See how they're all the same? yeah. Except for these two. That's weird. Butter. Thank you. Thanks, sir. Demonstrate my ignorance. Who wants a fresh glass or Our rents. Yeah. Wait. We can't wait to drop this. Is that the new Willet Pot still sign back things? the you know, so I just came back from a wedding up through Virginia and they're everywhere down there, the new cast string ones. I I didn't buy one because you know it's so tough because I love like I I I buy a lot of those, the the four year purple tops and stuff like that. And they're crazy good for the price. Yeah. But As cool as that bottle looks. I was like is cash strength. How do I say this without just being a total jerk? But a stronger flavor profile of something I don't want in my mouth. It's not going to make me So you're saying there's better prison hooch out there. Yeah. Yeah. Well no, just looking through it is such a unique and pretty and different bottle. It's gotta be the prettiest, right? Right. just like the plant for some of these decanters, I guess. That's just like the plantin' story, right? Let's get this cool bottle and come up with this game. mediocre to sell mediocre bourbon. Yeah. Let's go really crazy and get a genie bottle. Well, old swagger's the same way. It's pretty though too. Yeah, but that's got that glass in the inside. It's blown glass. It's got like burp. It's the yeah. I'm also a sucker for a nice bag like the they put out with those Old Fit Seven. Yeah. I actually like like I I don't buy those every time I see but I'm more likely to buy it if it's sitting in the bag. And I notice some shops they'll just I got one. Okay. But you notice some of them they just have the bottle sitting on the shelf. Well you them for your Dungeons of Dragon's Dice, right? Goes well with a Mahjong game. You don't do you know the you don't know this story. There's a there's a guy who any time a couple of these guys will post bottles, there's always a guy who pop up in the comments like, Hey, do you have any interest in a like a not a a limited edition mahjong set? Like he's been trying to trade a mahjong set for like for a bottle of for like three thousand dollar bottles, like a Mickter's ten or something. Like he's trying to like it it's hilarious. So Yeah. no, I'll pass. No. It's my favorite thing. Alright. So bottle number two. So wait, how so how would we rate that? The the SAS eighteen first? On a scale from like one to ten? One to ten. Like a nine point one. Nine point one? Listen, I don't know what we're going up against. I'm giving that thing an eight point five to start. You've been through this before. Eight point five to start. So you're you're I'm gonna I I'm I reserve the right to change my rate. My rank. You wanna be able to r to rank it So we should do it like a fishing competition where this is really number one. You can throw away what your yeah this is number one. This is number one. Okay. And then you know we'll you throw away your your light catch, yeah. Exactly. Yeah. Okay. are you pouring? If I only had my Crown Royal bag full of dice. We could just rolled the dice. Snaur up is the newest addition to the BTAC. This is one I'm excited for, but I've heard it's not as good as the Traveler's, right? Traveler Special Select. That was another one. They they did get with that one. I saw the Travelers foolproof once. for thirty-eight dollars you can get me. It's still a very drinkable whiskey, but I make sure all my friends try that one. Yeah, what's funny is Chris Stableton doesn't drink, correct? he does. he does? yeah. Bob doesn't drink either. That's right. Here we are. so I I saw Chris Thank you. Stapleton and the master distiller Wheatley doing a interview or like a stage at Bourbon and Beyond. And they they were talking about the whiskey and trying it and what they like. But there's a lot of people that don't drink. yeah. Like Preston. Yeah, I listen, that was the so we were while we were down there, that was one of the things we learned is we took he has all everything. So we down we went down, we were gonna test ever taste everything with Preston and he was spitting. Like I he's like I started drinking three years ago. Now he he did say that he goes through and like when they're pulling barrels and they're testing for dumps, he does taste everything. But he wasn't I mean he was swallowing or yeah, he wasn't Yeah. Ingesting. I guess he was tasting, flavoring, I guess, whatever you want to call this. But yeah. I mean, I guess if you're doing it as a career, you gotta pace yourself. Well, could you imagine having to do a couple of hundred barrels? Like, I can't help but think that even if you were a drinker, you'd probably want to just blow it out on a afternoon, right? Like your pal at that point your palate would be destroyed. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that was so we talk about going through a hundred episodes. It's my favorite. That was such listen, I Yeah. It doing cigars with the Pappy twenty-three on on the Van der office. Yeah. It was it w well even just listening to that guy talk through this stuff, like the the random so he he was like he's like yeah you guys are doing that wrong. You gotta blow it blow it off. He goes that it it it removes the ethanol that's sitting on the glass. Like just random stuff like that one. I never heard that, but I gotta trust that guy. Like it was just, I don't know, just sitting listening tell family stories and like that office is nothing special on the outside and nothing super fancy, but man, is it like the history that's wrapped up in that one little space is just awesome. Cal, what's the proof on this? This is a hundred proof. So just your typical blonded. Real sweet though. So I'll I'll tell you right off the bat that I like the nose better. Yeah, I agree. So d yeah, small batch has that ethanol that hits you up front. This is real butter scotchy. Mm-hmm. Taylor Straight, Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey, Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor Jr., known as the father of modern bourbon industry, revolutionized bourbon with innovations that shaped its future. In 1870, Taylor purchased the distillery on the Kentucky River and christened it OFC Old Fashioned Copper, known today as Buffalo Trace Distillery. He believed the finest whiskey could only be crafted in wood-fired copper stills and began operations that have continued uninterrupted ever since. A driving force behind the Bottle and Bond Act of eighteen ninety seven, he cements bourbon's integrity and sets quality standards that still guide mo Bourbon mo that still guide bourbon makers today. Terry's most enduring mark of quality was his signature. More than just the name, it was a promise. To him, whiskey wasn't simply a product, it was a personal commitment to excellence. Every bottle bearing his signature was a pledge of trust, ensuring that what was inside met the highest standards of craftsmanship. Each Taylor Bottle and Bond Street, Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey is a tribute to his pursuit of perfection, opening with aromas of I don't. I can't go into the notes. Listen, you're you're a better reader than me is what I just learned. So This to me smells like that old tailor that I have from the early 70s. This is the first time I smelled a current Taylor that smells like that. Yeah. Now part of my wishes for you know the tailors that have come out have been I I wish it would taste more aged. Yeah. And so this one is fifteen years and four months. And I I'm excited about this one. And there's no age statement on a typical Taylor, so right. It's four years. Yeah. It's four years. That's where you pick up the death on the nose. Yep. And you know, typically that the Taylor profile holds, whether it's small batch, single barrel, or a barrel proof, it's just a longer finish. This, to me, to your point, distinctly different. Yeah. it's been allowed to mature, you know, a lot of oak on the tongue for me. Yeah. Cheers. Is that why a lot these folks are not liking it? 'Cause they look they're Taylor fans and it's just not on profile? I like that. I like that a lot. Yeah. I always think Taylor's drink pretty hot. This one is a little bit less Yeah. Yeah. I think barrel proof. I it's strong, strong. I need to go back to four rate. I brought cured oak too, by the way. I I had my show last time, Dad. You drive today or no. I'm either gonna moot your ride home or call an Uber. It's real good. I Yeah. I I would have to say if we're if we're fishing We have a new number one new number one. See I'm I'm leaning towards the Sazer. Yeah. I'm a rye guy though, so I think I'm predisposed to that. I'm I'm the Rye guy as well. But the the Taylor I think Taylor was one of the first ones we thought was special. Well you always talk about this was your favorite bottle for the longest time too, wasn't it? It was when we when we first got into it, we snagged one of those OHL Q single barrels. Okay. And it was like the s sky parted and angels we really upon you. We really had something that that we could enjoy. Yeah. Yeah. Re really lucky. Pretty bottles. And that was actually this is a funny story. We've all been to Chalet in the morning. And nobody was expecting an any OHLQ bottles to drop. And my son and I got there and we're we were number five and number six. And you know, with my son and I, our our rule was whoever drove gets gets the number ahead of us. Okay. So we've all been at Chalet, and I'm number five, I get my bottle. There's only six bottles of the of the single barrel. That one of the twins goes to grab it. The bottom. Bottom falls out. Shut up. The bottle hits the counter. It flips. It hits the floor. There's 40 people there collectively holding their breath. Yeah. The twin bends down, picks it up, the place goes nuts. It's like you know, winning winning field goal for the Super Bowl. And So funny. It you know, those are the those are the experiences I've I've enjoyed, you know, me meeting people in line like you guys. Listen it. And those those times where you you you laugh and you compare notes or you you share samples. Well we end up in situations like this too. I listen, I a hundred percent agree. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And I was getting coffee this morning over at Branch Street and I heard a couple of people talking about, were you giant equal this morning? I I I didn't make it out. But They were talking about bourbon. I was just waiting for my coffee. But I was I was listening and the one guy was like, Why does this guy keep looking? And then I was like, Hey, you've been over into Pennsylvania recently 'cause I work over at Westminster, so I always stop at the fine wine and liquor shop and there's just certain things that you know, each state's a little different. Yep. Like and I and I'm always shocked and I told him like, you know, if you're into Penelope, the American light whiskey is just sitting on the show. Is it really? Just eating your yep. Just kidding. Ninety nine bucks, just sitting there like like no one wants it. Can't can't believe it, But I was like, Yeah, it we're we're what, twenty minutes from Pennsylvania. you're a solid thirty minute from from I that's how I pulled Knob Creek twenty one. Was it was nowhere to be found here. I just drove across the border and picked one up there. Yeah. Sitting there with multiple sitting. I just got one of those. So another recent story from in line. went to steamers for dinner the other night, wanted to buy a lottery ticket, because it's over 500 million, so I have to win, right? So I go into Chalet to buy a lottery ticket, and it was Tuesday night. There's nothing I wanted. I could see a guy, trying to read the bottles. And I look at him and he looks at me, that nod. And I go, I haven't seen I haven't seen a giant eagle or anything lately. He goes, I haven't seen you either. He goes, but I saw you on Dan's podcast. Shut up. Swear to God. Swear to god Friday. Yeah. Yeah. We did the whole That's funny. Whole bunch of ries that night. yeah, we think you know, dispelled the the myth. Yeah. S so the next bottle in the series is the Eagle Rare seventeen. I'll read this one for you. Before I start going And glossy. It's not just you. Yeah. So it says seventeen years, but I know this one I believe is eighteen years and then some odd months. I'm not sure exact specs on everything. But it was they since it's always been seventeen years, they just didn't change the label. Yeah. Yeah, this is let's just keep going. This one's eighteen years and four months. we say it all the time, Eagle Rare is the best one of the best value value straight up, yeah. But Ten years forty eight bucks or whatever it is now, yeah. Yeah. Now you were also in the in batch batch one as well. So we're staying in batch one between the tailor and the and the eagle. I like heavy poor rich. It's not an accident anymore. See, now that nose is just fantastic, too. Give her here. boy. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The founding principles of the for the United States. man, I gotta get this right. Do you want my glasses? No, I don't. Here, I'll hold it out here. So you're close. what is that even worth? Something epitomized. There it is. By the American bald eagle. These principles reward freedom, spirit, and independence of the individual. Listen, I told you, you read reads better than me. World products have ever seen before. one such innovation is Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey. Early Kentucky settlers created bourbon, the true American spirit. it's so hard to there's that youngstown public. This whiskey's pretty old and pretty good. Yeah. Drink whiskey. The late seventeen hundreds. By practice, not protected by what is happening? Other distilled spirits adheres to a grammar of a stroke. We know who's not allowed to read anymore. Rich sign this while we read the place. So we're gonna need it. As those established the Kutch Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. And few other whiskeys can offer even a glimpse of the great whiskey. What is this? Making found as you were seventeen-year-old Kentucky straight burn. Sounded out, Bob. Beat shit is the ultimate symbol of our undying pursuit of freedom. It is unparalleled passion regardless of the odds, a belief that common people can accomplish great things. Eagle rare symbolizes the spirit of innovation. Drink what shut the fuck up. they didn't need that gimmick to sell this one. Yeah. yeah. So twelve is measurably better than ten, right? my gosh. Eagle rare t twelve is much better than ten, we bring. Okay. So ten's like the girl next door. Yeah. Twelve's like your better looking sister. Yeah. This is her hot cousin from California. This is the this is sta this is Stacy's bombers she's got it going on. That's awesome. This is the Instagram model around the corner. Yeah. So now unlike the tailor, this holds the the eagle profile. It it holds it, but i what's the proof on this? Hundred one. Okay. it's like that deep cherry cola with oogie cherry cola that just Yeah. It's no ethanol, no nothing on this thing either. Yeah. lots of cherry. stone fruit. Definitely the stone fruit for me. that's so good. See, I this is this is probably one of my favorite tastings because I like the oakiness. I like the the the old stuff. The funk. Yeah. I after the first two, I think this is flat. Really? Yeah. Go outside. I'm serious. I the nose is. He's just saying that because he couldn't read the name. I couldn't read it. Fuck that. You guys hate you. Listen, I Why are you so hard? It's very different. Yeah, it it's not as the nose is crazy good on it. It's sweet. it's awesome. But I I like the finish more, at the back end of it it lingers and I I feel like I don't feel like I have to immediately I wanna take another sip, but the flavor sits there longer for me than the first two. So just by virtue of the age of these bottles and the the pedigree, all of them great finish, great viscosity, it's buttery on your tongue. Yeah. It's it's got this depth of flavor. I mean again it's it's It's it's you it reminds you of of Eagle, but then it just takes you somewhere else with you know, the oaky, you know, that stone fruit backing it up. And it to me it it it it tastes I don't know, to me this this could be a lot higher proof. Wow. So I I think that I like the oakiness on this, but I really like the tailor. So I I'm this one's tighter to me than what the Taylor and the Sazerac were. We should have done this pencil and paper and reveal at the end. Well that's why I was asking for a a a good score, a rating on each one. Yeah. Because then it's not compared to each other, it's OC. Yeah. So of all the Eagle Rares I've had, this is a ten. yeah. yeah. I agree with that. Yeah. I yeah, I agree with that. And for this night Man. It's probably the number one fish right now. I agree. I think it has more of that old funk that I kinda look for in a bottle like this. Yeah. It makes it feel special. Mhm. Yeah. With feeling. It's funny because like you said, I I'm actually very partial to Taylor. I got a single barrel before I left Virginia that is one of my favorites. I have to consciously avoid that bottle so I can stretch it out. one of the lotteries over at Chalet. I got not the straight ride. No, I got the barrel proof Taylor, another bottle I love. and I think that's great, but I just think the other ones are s so Different? Yeah. I don't know. Well, and it's the fact that we're used to drinking something that is, you know, probably a four to six year age statement. Mm-hmm. And then letting it, you know, really mature for you know that one says Taylor Bob. I had to get close. Good. Listen, they're all good. Let's let me make sure I get that out of the way. I've not had a bad pour out of any of these. No. that's the other thing that's cool is we have one, two, three, six bottles here that are incredibly distinct. They're not selling this BTAC lineup where it's like you like you can't argue that any of these are the same as the other. No. Yeah. No, they are distinct. Good great point. WLW next, is that we're doing I'm gonna read this one. Thank God. That's just even smaller than the one I did. You got your readers. Ha ha ha. You know, I never did do my captain voice, so I'll I'll do what Yeah when dude and JD Yeah do your captain voice we'll read it. Yeah, so so I was just down in Virginia for a wedding. Nice. Got back today a bunch of friends sent which we got up here, but they got the OGD one fourteen single barrel, which I love. I wish I had gotten more than one. what else? Just popping up on the shelf everywhere. I was so pissed because I brought my like bubble wrap bottle stuff to take a bunch of things back. I brought an extra suitcase. It was my last flight with my like active duty free check bag. Came back with I I came back with a couple of bottles of scotch, no bourbon. Mm-hmm. Born in 1825. William LaRue Weller was one of the early whiskey pioneers in Kentucky. After serving in the Louisville Brigade during the 1840s, William LaRue Weller remained in Louisville and continued his family heritage in the whiskey business. Weller was famous for his Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, using wheat instead of rye in the mash bill. As one of the most distinguished of his time, William LaRue Weller Spent many years educating consumers about the different styles of bourbon and the special flavors that wheat imparted to his whiskey in particular. William LaRue Weller also believed in the importance of aging his whiskey, and to this day, Weller bourbon continues to be aged longer than most. The combination of exceptional aging and the use of wheat in the mash bill produce a whiskey with a very mature, rich, and exotic aroma. Its flavor has been described as full, evolving, and sophisticated, with notes of vanilla, tea berry, and cinnamon. Like its namesake, this uncut and unfiltered wheated Kentucky Strait Bourbon whiskey is strong, proud, and enduring. A tribute to the legacy of William LaRue Weller. Can it be used as a flotation device? I think so. You didn't pour yourself? And all the excitement I forgot. So we jump in proof here, don't we? Yeah. So this goes up to hundred twenty nine proof. This is twelve months. You gotta love. The nose is telling me that my order's about to change. But one thing I've learned doing this podcast is sometimes not that the nose is can be good and the the the the palate's bad, but they're not connected. Right? Like you can enjoy a nose of a whiskey and then be let down by the powder vice versa. Be underwhelmed by the nose. Taste is ever as good. I think different grains lend themselves to a better like one or the other. I find that I really love a wheated nose or high rye bourbon nose, but then just a normal bourbon, it's usually too ethanol-y for me, or even just a straight rye. I'm like, okay. And then I taste it and it's just who knows. So I have one of these, it's nearly gone. It's crazy good. Yeah. I'm curious. Twenty-three I think. I think I have it. 'Cause I loved that. That William Louie Weller was just something. Thinner in viscosity, just a little bit. Yeah. It's a little bit less aged, right? I mean it's five years less than the Eagle Rare. Yeah. The nose is crazy good on it. That flavor is fantastic. That is like grape juice. Like Welch's grape juice. And you get it all on the front. Yeah. Right? Yeah, you get it yeah. You get it right on the front of your front of your tongue. It hits and then it just like fades away, you know, in into the back of your mouth. But you would never guess it's twelve years and seven months, a hundred and twenty nine proof, but I would never guess it was a hundred and twenty nine proof. Yeah. Well this is the way we we said the same thing about this the other one too. Yeah. Is that it drinks well under proof. It's yeah. Yeah. It's so smooth. I But you get a little bit of that potency on the nose. yeah. You get a little bit of potency but then you get it follows up with a whole bunch of it's like sweetness like confectioner's sugar. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah, if you're putting powdered sugar on donuts and you inhale accidentally the powder. Yeah. Powdered sugar. Powdered sugar. Got any more of that powdered sugar? is that what they're calling the keys? Yeah. That's that's so nice. we're talking about creative bottles and I'm just sitting here looking at these from this angle. And they're so simple but eloquent. It's just like everything they need, but they're gorgeous. And yes, one of the things is marking is hundreds making your bottle look good. But sometimes simple is better. Simple is better. Especially if you're have a big name like a Buffalo Trace or even a Jack Daniels. If you make it look simple People are still gonna buy it. Even the jack the H David Jacks, those look Yeah. Just like Jacks. Just the pages look beautiful. Yeah. It the whiskey speaks for itself. Yeah. The bottle doesn't have to. Yeah. If I send seventeen ninety two's like that. I mean it's a unique bottle in itself, but it's the same bottle small batch to sweet wheat to twelve year. All all that changes is the color at the top. Yeah. That's really good. And I didn't actually realize Well, I knew the Colonel Taylor had a a a yellow top, but I didn't realise all these others were were color coordinated as well. Except for the Eagle, I think they use a black top, which is kind of annoying. If you have O C B. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I didn't notice until you said that that looks navy blue. It's yeah. No, I think he means the the top might not be able to read, but at I have not colourblind. I see what you're saying. Yeah, of course the stag is black. The stag is black. no, no, the the actual target. You're right. And I can't unnotice that well. Thank you. Yeah. I gotcha. Guess mine too, but foil top is the right color, but I think the only way for them to fix this is to send you one with the purples with some of the purple top. Right. Right. How does mail mail you up the correct colored cork top? It'd be greatly appreciated. So far, what's your favorite? This is this is jumping to the front because the sustained finish for me It's crazy. and that goes with the I'm a proof hound. Yep. It goes with that higher proof. It's like that fat lady in the opera holding that note. And it's it's just got an incredible sustained finish to me. just big bone. Just big bone. Big bone? Yeah. thank you. Thank you. We're we are politically correct here. Great personality. Yeah. She's got a pretty face. but but But just wonderful finish that just goes and you know, to me it's that Stone fruit. Yeah. It's got It's all of the weller stuff, but somehow better than all of them. that's the it that's the part that stands out about it. again, these are all supposed to be that. Yeah. And Eagle Rare is for sure. We just said is the ten of eagle. It is absolutely but somehow this one is just I it's crazy good. Yeah. Yeah, this messed up my line up by the way. Yeah, so if if we're comparing this to the rainbow. it's this is the pot of gold. Yeah, for sure. A hundred percent. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I agree. My next question though is has anybody ever had the what's the W O the the not the Millennium? millennium for that matter. Like the Dangerous. Somebody has it somewhere. Can it get better than this? that's the other side of this is if they're doing well, don't those change every year? Because I know this year's those change and then well these are batch dependent, but it's the same mash bill. Yeah. Now the the wellers, as I understand, they're actually changing the mash bills. 'Cause the first one was was basically a batch one mash bill and then the second one was a wheated mash bill. Yeah. So I think they are rotating those on that on that Weller experience. Okay. Daniel Weller. That spelt wheat and the first one was a red wheat or a winter wheat or something. Yeah. Yeah. This one's always drank crazy good to me. It's good. it it's tight. I I think if you like the sweeter stuff, I mean that Eagle Rare and that William Derwell are definitely on that that sweet yeah spectrum. But I I don't know. I still like that Colonel Taylor. It it wasn't as sweet. I got a little more of the rye, but I just feel like it was one two for me. W L W the Taylor. Yeah. I would say WLW Taylor Rare Saz 18. That's my order so far. I think I'm going Eagle Rare Saz Weller. Taylor. Ooh. I got to do it, bro. Do the same? Yeah. I thought the Weller would like overtake and it's very close, but still that funk in the Eagle Rare. Stop. But with it's still it's got sweetness and funk, and I could I feel like I could sit there all night. And then be sad the next morning realizing how much I drank out of that bottle. Yeah. and yeah, the Sazerac rye. I'm I'm excited to try the other rye and then really think about that. Yeah. And the German judge. I would like to say He's more of the Russian. Nine. Nine. So out of ten. I I I think I'm gonna go with the Taylor. I like I like the Taylor again. The thing that you always wanted was that long finish, that deep profile, the ethanol is gone. Yeah. and then I go with the the Eagle Rare, the the best Eagle you could have. You got the most different. He and I are really close. I think the the Weller is, you know, a a two B, but for this purpose it's a three. And the Sazrack falls four right here, but I almost think you should be we should be pulling the the ryes, out. Yeah. I tend to agree with this. I think they stand alone. And you know, if I'm comparing that Sazrack to, you know, the the the typical offering, you know, the regular Saz or the Saz barrel proof. You know, traveler. It's it's it's the ten. Poor traveler. Yeah. They gotta have something to do with all the bad barrels. We couldn't send them to Canada. Do we have deal for you? Well yeah. Like isn't that always one of the ones that's on sale when you go in there? Yeah. You get your discounted glasses and some traveler. What is it, twenty percent off glasses? They haven't come out with a traveler cigar yet. Is that like the long branch of Buffalo Trays? Yeah, pretty much. not it's not gonna be discontinued in Ohio, so really? Because it's on the OHLP liquidation. All right, all right, all right. There you go. Nice. Nice Matthew. Go figure. Yeah. Well he's not signing the bottles anymore anyway. No, is he not? No. His partnership ended with them. so they took his name off. I didn't know that. Yeah. On to site handy. Yeah. I'll volunteer my services to read this. Listen, I can see the Professor Professor Barquette. We all have to burn our pores. I can't be throwing Shea and Professor Barquette would like to say. See Dan just d his heart drop for half a second. F he's done the same every one. Well I'll catch it. We'll be good. Yeah. We got a system. I've got I've got more than enough glasses there. I trust Bob. That's your own fault. Okay, Professor, the Kopfore is all yours. In eighteen thirty, Thomas H. Handy was born in Maryland. Meanwhile, down in New Orleans, a number of saloons veiled as coffee houses began lining the streets of the French quarter. A young man named Antoine Pesho junior began serving cocktails made with brandy. Wait, this sounds like the same story that was on the baby. In eighteen forty seven, Thomas H. Handy arrived in New Orleans. He immediately went to work for John Schiller at a liquor store on Royal Street. Schiller eventually bought the Sazerac Coffee House, and Handy quickly became an expert barman concocting fabulous Sazerac cocktails for his patrons. In 1869, Handy's friend and boss, John Schiller, died. Handy bought the coffee house and asked his friend Peixo to join him in business. It was the great age of coffee houses in New Orleans, and there was one on every corner. The New Orleans Times newspaper published an article saying, The oldest and best known of these houses is the Sazerac. Thomas H. Handy was established and successful, but never content. In eighteen seventy three, he altered the recipe for the Sazerac cocktail by replacing French brandy with American rye whiskey. Patrons preferred the taste of rye whiskey over brandy because it was more robust and spicy. The whiskey had a bouquet of pepper and clove and wonderful flavors, including citrus and candied fruit. Thomas H. Handy, uncut and unfiltered straight rye whiskey is bottled directly from the barrel, just as it was over a century ago. Enjoy the authentic American rye whiskey as a symbol of the timeless history of New Orleans and legacy of Thomas H. Handy. So this one is a six plus gear, one hundred and twenty nine point eight proof. Have I told you I'm partial to a good handy? On my nose only. This one's getting thrown back in. I can smell a good handy. So I definitely get a lot more like wheat or or like rye way grass on the on the nose. I'm not getting the proof though, like I think or at least on the nose compared to the the Sazurac rye. See I think it's way more ethanol. Yeah, it's not as well it's not as mature, it's not as finished, I think. I I like this one better than the handy. Certainly on the nose for me. Yeah. And I think all the riebite that sat we talked about Ras Ezraq not having. And I have a twenty three handy. and I the joke is it it's it's it's hard it's hard to say. It's any different than the Saz Foolproof. To be honest. Yeah. To me. And that was one of the big comparisons this year when it first came out. A lot of people were comparing the Handy and the Sazrak Foolproof and they said it was very, very close. Yeah. 'Cause and this is the first one of the group that I'm not getting a lot of oak or I'm not getting a lot of maturity. Yeah. No. It's very right forward. yeah. Okay. I haven't been able to find that so I've been on a rye gig, right? Like it? I do like it. I'm surprised there's not more missing from this then. This is this is a rye to me. I it is. And and I I can't say that this is and I have a handy. Yeah. But it's I don't even think that one is as wry forward as this one is. Yeah. S so I've got twenty two, twenty three, twenty four in the handies. The it is actually one of my favorite bottles. This one to me underperforms. Yeah. Well look what it's I think that's the hard part. Look what it's running against too. Well it underperforms against you know its its hotter sisters, but it also underperforms to me, you know, just being batch specific. Yeah. you know, this one, you know, not as mature, ethanol in those, a citrus chew. Yeah. And then that that rye pepper finish. Heavy. Yeah. that, you know, you would send the soup back to the kitchen. It's six. We haven't made it that far, but I can tell ya, it's gonna be good for me. Yeah, I feel like with a rye, usually what I like, especially about higherproof ryes, is that I escape more of that ethanol than a higher proof bourbon. But I feel like I get the rye spice which I enjoy, but in combination with the like the I'm still feeling the sip that I had like a minute and a half ago. I thought truly that that would like that would be my favorite rye out of the two, but I'm definitely leaning towards the Sazrack. No, the Saz is the better of the two and it it the other handies have a s inherent sweetness to This does not have sweetness. Yeah, I I do get the sweetness, but I just don't think it is near equal to the to the rye. It's forty points hotter. It's forty proof points higher as well. Yeah. I think that's the other thing to say about this is I think it drinks like it too. I is that what made this Sazerac so much better was the the lower proof on it. Yeah. I think it drinks like a higher proof in like you said, in heat, but not necessarily in flavor. This one was one twenty I'm not getting that flavor bomb. Yeah, one twenty nine. Let me break it, you bob. It's only gonna get hotter. I listen, I I I yes. Yes. I think that's the I've always stag's never been my favorite for that reason. But c when you add that proof with the rye, it makes it even spicier. Yeah. I feel like proof's so unpredictable. I have a bottle of it was from twenty four, the Abraham Bowman cask strength. That's one thirty nine. Get rid of forty. Wouldn't hold it. It tastes sweet as sugar. And I've got stuff that sits at one fifteen. Yeah, yeah. After I take a little sip. Yeah. Yeah. And it I'll I bet you the difference is the age. Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Last but not least, here we are. we know definitely not least, right? Well last but most. Last but highest? It's a hazmat. It's got Is it really? It's it's it's got a UN UN designation. You reminded me, thank you, as as a pilot, you know. So I always hear like from like other whiskey drinkers, so it's like what? Hazmat means like over one forty, you you can't fly with it. Like you're not supposed to So what why? Wha what's the difference between me flying genuinely I I I wanna know 'cause I I'm just curious what makes one forty the sp this special forty. So it becomes I I I know that's the regulation. It's not supposed to but as you go up, you know, everything becomes more combustible. Okay. At at this proof point it's is it like harder to like distinguish the higher gu or is it just more likely to more more likely to be flammable. Okay. Flying international next week. I used to be on the lookout for. Where are you going? So I you know when I flew through Philadelphia I stopped in? I was unimpressed. I think I sent you guys a picture of the duty free? Yeah. Yeah, I see all these people on Instagram post duty free, and they got Eagle Rare twelve and all these things. And I stopped in Atlanta Airport and where else? LaGuardia. And I think the most interesting thing I saw was Wild Turkey Eight Year. Which like, you know, great bottle for forty bucks, but like, I'm not gonna float buying a fake ticket to It was Blanton's Gold and what was the other one that was sitting up there? Was it another blame's or was it I don't think it was. The bl I Blant's Gold was actually S R P was what it was. I was pretty impressed. I gotta find out. I'm curious. Can't remember. you can't argue with that nose. That nose is great. The period from 1865 to 1890 was known as the Gilded Age of Urban. Industry and innovation combined to produce stunning advances in quality and production. During this period, two noted distillers, E. H. Taylor Jr. and George T. Stagg, partnered to build one of the world's premier distilleries that were survived through economic cycles of boom and bust and through floods, fires, and droughts. On the banks of the Kentucky River, Terror built the grandest distillery in the world had yet seen, utilizing state-of-the-art technology that was clearly the first and only of its kind. Stag supplied the financial acumen and knowledge of fine whiskies that helped build the company into one of the world's leading whiskey producers. As a Burman expert proclaimed in 1890, the distillery it is The plot ultra of its class, the best of the best, George T. Stag Distillery continued in operation up to and through Prohibition, one of only four such distilleries to remain open during that period, and of the only one to survive the present day. Now known as the Buffalo Trace Distillery, our master distillers distillers and aging warehouse managers have combined their extensive whiskey making experience to present this magnificent aged bourbon that George T. Stag himself would have been proud to call as. Done. Uncut and unfiltered and of an age and quality of more than two centuries of experience can bring. Buffalo Trace's story offers this bourbon as a testament to quality, tradition, and innovation to struggle to persevere and prosper where most others have failed, which is what George C. Stag and his namesake bourbon are all about. We can think we can think of no other better tribute. Dude, these things are wrong. Okay, so I've always been on record saying I think stags are hot. This one's probably the hottest one I've had. The nose is crazy good on this though. Yeah. Absolutely. we have you had the new junior? six C. I've had I've had all of I thought C was really, really good. And I usually it's probably the first junior I've said I've liked. Yeah, 'cause we did the A B C. Yeah. Yeah. I thought we had all four. No, I I've not seen a D yet. I haven't seen it, yeah. Okay. So I I think the stags, the twenty five and the twenty six, like you can call everything from eighteen to twenty four the dark ages. Yeah. Right? You know, that they lost that flavor profile that the Stag Junior is famous for. And it was just ethanol, punching in the face. and, you know, I think the t the twenty five and the twenty six got back to the profile. No that's a great nose, yeah. Great nose. Love the flavor on it. I mean it's it's got some punch to it. I don't think it's as hot as the handy. Yeah, I was just gonna say not as much as the last one. It's the rye, but like t dark, dark tobacco. Mm. Flavor lasts. Yeah. Get that cherry. Have you had this one before? I have not. I have not. How many of these have ever been hazmatz like this? This has got to be one of the first. so I know in twenty fifteen and earlier there were quite a few ha there were quite a few hazmats. This is the first one since twenty thirteen that was ha that's become a hazmat. So I think I had a twenty fifteen or a twenty sixteen and it was not a hazmat. But I remember the one before that was. Becoming a Stag fan? I love the I love the twenty twenty three. I mean Yeah, that one's fantastic. I like twenty six C. I didn't think A and B were all that great. C I thought was really, really on video saying that you really enjoyed that A. No, I thought it was C I liked, right? I think it was Cause I brought I thought everybody liked C I think I think everyone went with C as number one, but I thought I remember you saying A came close to second 'cause it was 'cause that one came in at one thirty nine. So I think more than twenty nine. Maybe. It's hard to remember that that episode. Yeah. Well you stayed after drank more too, didn't you? That's why I don't know. Allegedly the camera was off, so you I have no recollection. This one does not have nose on it either. That's the I've always thought that the in general they always even just I think there's a distinct difference in the flavor profile from junior to today if you're looking at the regular stack lineup. this kind of goes back, you know, to the to the earlier stag juniors, where it it brings the it brings the proof, but it also brings that depth of flavor, the complexity. Yeah. the stags were always known for that cherry finish. Yep. you get the cherry here, some stone fruit. and again that sustained finish that comes with you know the proof. But it doesn't drink like one forty two. No, I agree. A hundred percent. Yeah. Yeah. Man. That's a lineup. So I think I'm WLW one, Colonel Taylor two. Eagle Rare. Well no, I'm gonna say George T Stag three. Eagle Rare four. Saz eighteen five, Thomas Handy six. They're yours, do it. I probably put SAS eighteen still at one. Mm. William Guru at two and it with Eagle Rare seventeen. It's almost like it's pretty much a tie between us. Yeah. It all depends on whether you like the wheated profile or if you you know, the rye profile. Yeah. Three, I'd probably have to do I go the George C. Stag. Four would be No, no, four four would be Geor George C. Four would be George C. Stag. Five would be the E. H. Taylor, and then six would be the Andy. Okay. Michael? I think I'm gonna go with the Eagle as number one, stag is number two. Sazerac number three, then Weller Taylor handy. Well. Weller, Taylor. Stag Sazerac rare handy. Okay. Just to confuse Bob. You're the exact opposite. I'm gonna start at six. No, this makes sense to this one because that's how I was working. That's how I worked my way up. So I that's how I did them. That's fair. Yeah. Yeah. So starting at six for me was the handy. Yeah. it's everybody's last. Great, but disappointing. When compared to this lineup correct disappointing with the other bottles in the in the in the handy batch profile. And I think it all comes to the age, right? Because that's what you're not getting. You're not getting that mature. Yeah. The thing that kills me, and the reason I rank Saz higher is because it was so much less like handy. It was a r it's a rye that doesn't drink like a rye. It got extra points for me. Yeah. So handy's six for me. don't stone me. But Weller's five. I mean I I enjoy the the wheated profile, but the other ones to me bring a lot more. Yeah. Saz is gonna be five. I mean gonna be number four for me. Thank you. and it's it's everything that I wish the handy was. Yeah. number three Is gonna be the Eagle. The best the best of all the Eagle lineup. number two, Mr. Taylor. And for me, I'm a proofhound. Yeah. I'm just I enjoy the stag profile. I'm not surprised by that one. Yeah. And I'll go with the stag for the number one for me. And thank you for thank for sharing. Thank you. Seriously. Thank you very much. Thank you. We're spoiled. We're just here like nitpicking this BTEC line of but that's what it's for. I something's gotta be six. Yeah. work bottles do no good sitting in my house drinking them alone, so I mean I rather drink it with people I enjoy. Yeah. Well and I appreciate every bottle. I I really do. And even even the handy and I'm not a rye guy, it still has a really unique flavor. I just I'm not gonna lean towards that. Yeah. I feel like Bob you brought up a good point where y you said you like the Sazerac more 'cause it drinks less like a rye. And it's like I feel like when when when they're they're making rye whiskey, who who are they targeting? 'Cause I love a rye whiskey. No, no, but but a lot of people sit in your boat. This is a lot of people. and and so it's like but even as a rye guy, I preferred the Sazerac to the handy. Yeah. But like how I guess one, you just you take the mash bill, you put it in a barrel and hope for the best. They don't really have a ton of control, but as far as do we want to curate something that has those rye spices, that that that peppery forward flavor, if you or do you want something that's like a high rye bourbon, but technically a rye. If you're a fan of a rye, that's gotta be a really, really good rye, right? Like it's very well balanced. Yes. I mean the only thing that people would probably knock it for is the proof, but even at the proof point it still carries a lot of flavor and it's just Yeah. That's just not my That's why I I don't I there's lots of people who are just like you that like the stag profile and the proof. I it does not surprise me. Yeah, you're yeah, you're right there too. Yeah. I mean Yeah, and I've had some great stags, you know, fourteen with all the cherry cola at the finish. twelve, I've been lucky enough, even the the fifteen, the seventeen, there's some it's it's it's a different profile, those those older bottles. I just need to smell this this comes back. It just smells flat to me. I that's the like I get that I'm different than everybody on like this is your one or two, right? Yeah, first time I go around this was I think two. But I was also pouring pretty happy in those are right back. So I just I don't know. I get what you you're saying on the nose, 'cause I wasn't sure at first. But I got I felt like it gave some of that dusty funk. I think it's the most drinkable. I think it's just it's a super easy to drink ore. I just don't again if we're talking about and it's these others all have cold. It stays truest to the profile. I'll I'm okay. Yeah, of of all these bottles, that eagle rare stays truest to the profile. Yeah. And I will agree I think it's The extra seven years has done it well against the 10 year. I think I said I think the twelve is much better than the ten. But I also think that this is much better than the twelve too. I I'm not I am I'm on board with all that. I just compared to this, that's I don't know. I do feel like there's a larger departure from the ten to the twelve than the twelve to the I mean it's still a stark difference, but I was actually shocked at how different the ten and the twelve work. Twelve finished. Cool. I'll definitely pick one up if I see it. But if not, the ten i it's such a good bottle for the price. I'm always pro Eagle Rare ten versus Blanton's 'cause I think they they they they sit the same and the Eagle Rare is half the price. It give or take some stuff, but the twelve I was just mind blown. Mm. But you also can't find it. Well, I'm always yeah, I agree. Two years difference is shocking that it's that much better. I agree. Thank you. That's awesome. I the twelve has only been released in what six states? Yeah. Happy one hundred. Happy one hundred, yeah. great way to spend it. couldn't couldn't have picked a better better lineup, I don't think. Crap Royal Wine Up. Well that doesn't tell you that's what's on the back side of this wall is that's where all the crown and the that was giving you a good time. Calibu the caribou's over there. The I heard the VIX 44 drinks really well. Yeah. Right. That's when you can't drink alcohol. Shoot. All right, now that we're warmed up, what are we gonna That that's right. Now here we start. Yeah, well the bar's open. I mean if there's something you want to try. I I can't thank everybody for watching enough 'cause it it's been this has been fun for us. Never in a thousand years what I thought that we would have done a hundred. Never in a thousand years what I thought we got to do the cool stuff out of this. Yeah. It is when I started collecting bourbon, I always talked about what you've said. Zit's the people that have met along the way. It's these situations that I've always appreciated the most. Somehow this has made it better. It's amplified it's turned it to twelve at this point. That's the part I can't wrap my head around. Go figure. Yeah. So and I and I can't think I mean everybody's always been yep super supportive. Like, hey, yeah, I'll be there. We'll we'll we'll do a podcast and and and put and everybody that's watching thank you. Getting great feedback and comments, so we appreciate that as well. You guys are also appreciates it too. Yeah. It's awesome for He tries to read them. Phonics. My phonics class is starting this week. Got it. My twelve, my 13-year-old daughter will be teaching me. I got it. We'll get there. Is hooked on phonics still thinking? Huh? I no, it's what is it now? It's ABC Mouse. What else is there that's out there? ABC Mouse, and then there's isn't we? Yeah, that's for the littlers, so they got everything out there. Hooked on Pahon, it's something but apparently that thing is less bourbon, but what do I know? Right. Bifocals. We're getting there. Yeah. But that George T is it's good. Yeah, it's good. It's incredibly drinkable for the proof. Yeah, yeah. I agree. I'd say the top three as far as like I could just throw this back not like in a shot, but I could just keep pouring and pouring. It's the Eagle Rare. Sazerek, the stag, and then the weller. I think the for some reason the the tailor really got me. And then we all I think we all agreed the handy was just a a little bit to handle. But I'm curious, the other thing to consider is these are freshly cracked, right? No. Ish? These were so these were what day is it? The twenty fifth. So about three week or how three weeks from being back. Okay, so Fresh like when we look at behind us, right. Freshly cracked. And we talk about dusty. I'm curious to hear, like, over the years as you revisit some of these how they change because weeks. I don't know Yeah, yeah. I guess not at like even in the three weeks from having it, I mean the George T. Stag doesn't drink as hot from when I first cracked it. Thomas Handy drinks more hot than when I first had it. And I mean Taylor That was I think I had that ranked last the first time I had it. Now it's higher up on the ranking. So things change. Maybe next week. Yeah. Who knows? Try it again. Come back for episode two hundred. We'll do it another episode one hundred point five. Yep. No, I actually I'm I'm r actually after having read all I did about the the tailor, I'm most impressed with that. Yeah, I th I listen, I agree with this. This is I think it was pretty much panned. Everybody else that I've heard is like, it's not that great. I'm pretty darn impressed with it. And it's everything I would want out of a tailor. yes, it's a hunter proof, bottled and bond. That's what he's Smoother. Mm-hmm. Yeah. So all the tailors are that way. Except the barrel proof. Yeah. Except that is an aged which is what I like. Yep. So that's what I would want out of it. Yep. it it's when you When you look at, the regular small batch and you're like, what if? Yeah. Yeah. What happens when this grows up? What happens when this gets to do something different and special? Yeah. Yeah. And I think this is a testament to it. You know, again, it's a great lineup. and if anything, you know, it was an off year for the handy. Yeah, that's possible too. Yeah. And and and you know, they're they're not all home runs, they're not all the same. And that's why we do this, right? Yeah. You know, because there's so many variances in it. You talked about time and weather and the climate. You just you don't know what's gonna influence how it goes into the bottle. I mean it's the same way with even like wines. If you look at wine like different vineyards, I mean if they have a good season then the water's gonna taste great, it's gonna age well. If you have a crap year, then the wine is maybe get three years that you can age it and then you have to open it. Yeah, it's a great point. Fantastic. Well, folks. Thank you. Thank you. like, subscribe, share. we need to stop doing this at the end of episodes. We need to do it early in episodes. Nobody's still watching this thing. They're all tuned out. They're like, they're done. We can do it at the beginning. We gotta do it at the beginning. Beginning, middle, end. At the beginning. If you have any complaints, email Bob. Wait, what? There will be lots of complaints. Exactly. Mostly about reading. Or lack there. If you want to donate to Bob's new prescription classes, I was just there last week last weekend. goodness. This turned into a telethone all of a sudden. Yeah. 180 80 80 80. I love it. Thank you. Cheers. And we'll see you for one on one. Have a great night, everybody. Have a great night. Thanks. Thanks.
