Merry Christmas 2025!
Merry Christmas from Dan and Family,
It has been an exciting year for us at Bourbon, Brass & Beyond. My family and I moved into our house in June of 2024. Although we did a 5 and a half week RV trip that summer, we quickly learned we have fantastic neighbors. My next door neighbor Bob was Bourbon Hunting on his own, and I had been collecting since 2015. Bob and I hit it off, and began sharing pours and bourbon. We discussed doing a bourbon podcast for almost a year before pulling the trigger. We started our first recording this fall, and to date have 11 episodes published. Some of the episodes are relatively short, and we will be working the size of the podcast up as we begin to welcome guests.
I would not be able to do any of this without the help, love, understanding, and encouragement of my better half Stephanie. She makes this all possible in so many ways. I truly am the luckiest man alive.
We are hosting the neighborhood New Year's Eve Party after Christmas and are working hard to get ready. Looking forward to sharing pours and pictures. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.

Pilot / Trumpeter / Contract Negotiator / Martial Artist / Dad
In his 26th year as an airline pilot, Dan resides in Youngstown, Ohio with his high school sweetheart Stephanie. Combined they have 5 kids (teenagers...). They enjoy travel as a family, and as a couple. Dan has had a bourbon affinity since smelling his Grandfather's JW Dant and Grapefruit soda as a kid. Dan started collecting bourbon in 2015. He has been actively involved in Martial Arts since he was a kid and has Black Belts in two different styles. Dan still plays trumpet. Originally he went to college for music at Ohio University, but after his sophomore year decided he would much rather spend 3 hours in an airplane instead of a practice room. He still helps teach high school band camps, and has assisted with 5th and 6th grade Trumpet, Low Brass, and Percussion. Dan has been a Pilot Union Representative, Contract Negotiator, Merger Specialist, and Contract Compliance Administrator for over 20 years. Dan received the President's Lifetime Achievement Volunteer Service Award in 2024.
